L'AUBERGE DEL MAR
L'Auberge Del Mar Located in the heart of Del Mar, and affectionately known as being a main attraction in Del Mar, L’Auberge is your beautiful hotel by the sea. The north San Diego, CA luxury resort overlooks the Pacific Ocean from one of Southern California’s most picturesque coastal villages. Updated guest rooms and suites, a full-service spa, dreamy dining options, tennis courts and an inviting ocean-view pool and rooftop decks are great reasons to stay here. Their service could be greatly improved, but the location and hotel are very pretty.
Bright, rooms have been updated. Great bathrooms and balconies
Great location in Del Mar, walking to village and shops, set above the ocean
Needs major improvement. Front desk staff can be rude, servers are great
Great San Diego hotel, needs better service, but the hotel and views are great.
L'AUBERGE DEL MAR
Wonderful spacious rooms with beautifully redone bathrooms.
Pricey for San Diego, fitting for Del Mar
Needs major improvement for front desk: should smile and welcome guests
Great location in heart of Del Mar
The service is terrible, but the hotel is the best option for Del Mar
The overall experience is so great, however the front desk and other staff are very rude. The hotel is very pretty with beautiful rooftop decks and ocean views from most places. The rooms are spacious and redone well, with great bathrooms, and a central location. The hotel is so pretty and a great hotel in San Diego and the best in Del Mar.
L'AUBERGE DEL MAR HOTEL
Whether you are experiencing Opening Day at the Del Mar Races, a shopping getaway in southern California, or beach trip Del Mar is the absolute best San Diego beach. The recently update L’Auberge Del Mar is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious, bright, airy and redone in the upscale fashion you would expect from L'Auberge Del Mar. The hotel offers spectacular ocean views, a great bar, delicious bites, and a great location.
What they are majorly lacking is service. For the price, and it has always been a pricey hotel, they simply do not live up to what you would expect at this price point. The staff is very rude, consistently. The front desk does not greet you with a smile, and often talks amongst themselves while guests are waiting. The servers in the restaurant are personable and very good, one in particular. The food is also outstanding at their restaurant Adelaide.
Del Mar is truly the best beach in San Diego, we think it beats even La Jolla, which often gets the most praise. The village is charming, although in recent years does not have the very upscale feel it used to have which is a shame. There are empty shops and loved businesses now closed. The actual Del Mar beach is beautiful, whether you're a family or adult of any age, although parking can be tough.
Their evening front desk agent was very acommodating over the phone for a late night reservation which was wonderful and appreciated. L'Auberge has always been a main visiting point for Del Mar. It is lacking in any hospitality and while the rooms have been redone very well, there were some updates needed to the hotel. There was also food constantly left in the hallways and the the interiors needed to be cleaned. They should definitely retrain employees to what service actually means, but it is still a beautiful and fun hotel in Del Mar.
