Avila Beach is somewhat hidden California beach town on the Central Coast. Just off Highway 1 in California’s is a road that takes you through a lush oak valley that is lined with spas featuring natural, mineral hot springs and the fun and family-friendly Avila Valley Barn. Walk through the Barn and check out fresh produce, knick knacks, pies. Venture outside this open air "barn" to animals you can interact with such as goats, horses and even the big haired cock-a-doodle chicken.
Just a short drive further and the ocean town of Avila Beach welcomes you with true California beach flair. It is sunny and mild, think hot 75 - 80 with a breeze during the day and cool sweatshirt weather at night. The perfect beach weather.
Avila Beach is a happy, relaxed destination with shops filled with flip flops, t-shirts and sweatshirts, ice cream shops and ocean view bars and restaurants. There are various hotels: Avila La Fonda, Avila Lighthouse Suites and Avila Village Inn. Rick's is the ocean front bar to grab a drink and people watch or even do karaoke. Custom House is a family friendly casual eatery with a beautiful ocean view, drinks, hamburgers, salads, quesadillas and more. The Farmer's Market on Fridays is small but will welcome you with new experiences to many (Mango on a stick with lime and chili) and other food from local restaurants and vendors.
